There are many different ethnic groups that have resided on the island of Taiwan throughout history. Therefore, one of the distinctive characteristics of Taiwan literature is the richness and diversity of mother‐tongue literary works. In order to make people understand and appreciate the graceful literary works by writers on this homeland, the National Museum of Taiwan Literature creates this exhibition aiming to integrate and display the abundant conception of the mother‐tongue literatures, such as indigenous languages, Taiwanese, and Hakka. In hoping that from this exhibition people can experience the implications and values of the mother‐tongue literatures in the path of Taiwan literary history.
